Their heartbeat is capable of decreasing to nine beats per minute. Bears under hibernation is generally difficult to awaken, 

therefore meaning they do not eat nor excrete, surviving through the winter relying on their stored fat.

 寒冷地區的熊在冬天時會冬眠，冬眠時新陳代謝和體溫全部下降、心跳可減少到每分鐘九次。

冬眠的熊一般很難甦醒，因此也不會進食或排泄，而是依靠積蓄的脂肪度過嚴寒冬季。
